字母与音标的关系
是对应 发音关系，一定的字母对应相应的发音音标。元音字母发元音音标的
音，辅音字母发辅音音标的音。

英语音节种类
闭音节
以一个元音字母加一个或几个辅音字母(r除外)结尾的音节。
例如but ，cat ， pig ， pen ， dog ， math，plant，tell，test等。
开音节
开音节又分为绝对开音节和相对开音节。
由一个元音字母结尾的音节为绝对开音节。
例如：no，I，me，my，be等。
以一个元音字母加一个辅音字母(r除外)再加一个不发音的字母e结尾的音节
为相对开音节
例如：name，time，grade，game，rose，like ,use等。
字母组合音节
含有一个元音字母组合的音节
例如：bee，bear，easy，how ，small， about等。
单音节单词（只有一个音节的单词）

根据所含音节类型的不同，单音节单词可分为以下三种
闭音节单词
含有一个闭音节的单词，例如but math，plant，tell，test等
开音节单词

含有一个开音节的单词，例如：no ,sky，game，rose，like ,use等。
字母组合音节单词
含有一个字母组合音节的单词，例如：bee，bear， small， about等。
多音节单词（含有两个或两个以上音节的单词）
多音节单词是由两个或两个以上音节组成的单词。
例如：teacher ，favorite,，grandpa，tomato， geography，library
多音节单词拼读要注意划分音节。
单词音节如何划分
在英语中元音特别响亮，一 个元音可构成一个音节，一个元音和一个或几个
辅音音素结合也可以构成一个音节。一般说来，元音可以 构成音节，辅音不响
亮，不能构成
所以划分音节时，每个音节要有一个元音音素
