Good morning, teachers, It’s my great pleasure to be here sharing my lesson with you. The
content of my lesson is Senior English Book 1 Unit 4 Period 3 Grammar Present Perfect Tense
【Teaching Content】
Function. Grammar: Present Perfect Tense
【Teaching Goals】
Ⅰ. To enable Ss to learn more about the Present Perfect Tense.
Ⅱ. To enable Ss to know about the time in the sentence. Eg: so far; up to now; till now.
Ⅲ. To help Ss learn to understand Present Perfect Tense in the sentence.

Ⅰ. To make sure students master the grammatical items.
Ⅱ. To master the difference
between
the Present Perfect Tense and the Simple Past Tense.

【教学过程】
Step Ⅰ. Revision and Lead in

Teacher: Use power point to show the students some sentences and ask the students to write
down the present perfect tense verb forms in the sentences on their note books. Go around the
classroom to collect the difficult problems the students might meet with, give them help if
necessary.
1. Has the bus arrived?
has gone to town.?
3. I have had lunch already.
4.I have been here for 5 years.


5 .They have finished their homework.
Students: Read the sentences carefully and write down the present perfect tense verb forms
in the sentences on their note books, then teacher use powerpoint to check the answers with the
whole class ,and give some explanation where necessary.
Teacher : Ask the students to look at Exercise3 on Page 36 , show the exercise on the screen
and read through the verbs to make sure the students understand the meaning of the words.
Teacher : Ask the students to complete the sentences individually ,then put the students in
pairs to compare their answers. Call back the answers from individual student.
Students : Be volunteer to report their answers in front of the class and listen to other
reporters’ answers carefully .
Teacher : Give them evaluation and encouragement . Give correction where necessary.

设计意图:复习现在完成时态的 谓语动词结构,并通过练习让学生体验现在完成时态谓
语动词在陈述句和一般疑问句中的变化。
StepⅡ The difference between the present perfect tense and the simple past
tense
(Ⅰ) Ask and Answer
Teacher: Use power point to show the students the 6 sentences and questions on Page 34 and ask
individual student to answer the questions.

Do we know when the speaker saw these places?
2 I’ve visited some beautiful cities.
Do we know when the speaker visited these cities?
3 They’ve just completed it.
Is this a recent event?
4 They’ve put up a lot of high-rise buildings recently.
Did they do this a long time ago?
5 A friend’s told me about a nice little fish restaurant near here.
Did this happen recently?
6 It has been six years since we last saw each other, you know.
When was the last time that the speaker saw his friend?


Students: Be volunteer to answer the questions and check the answers with the volunteers.
Teacher: Give evaluation and encouragement. Give correction where necessary.
Teacher : Ask the students to think about the 6 sentences and questions again and discuss
with their group members to find out the answer to the question “What’s the difference between
the present perfect tense and the past simple tense?
” , show the question on the screen . Finally ask some students to report their answers.
Students: Discuss the question with their group members and be volunteer to answer the
questions.
Teacher: Give evaluation and encouragement. Give correction where necessary.
(Ⅱ) Practice
Teacher: Use power point to show the students some verbs and 6 sentences with blanks and
ask the students to complete the sentences ,tell them to use either the past simple tense or the
present perfect tense .

(Ⅲ) Oral practice
Teacher: Ask the students to write down the names of five interesting places that they have
been to. Use power point to show the students a sample dialogue and ask the students to make


dialogues about the places according to the sample with their desk-mates.
Students: Make dialogues about the places according to the sample with the classmates.
Teacher: Ask some pairs to act out their dialogues.
设计意图:
通过口语练习进一步熟练掌握现在完成时态表达法的准确使用。
Step Ⅲ How lasting verbs and unlasting verbs are used in the present perfect
tense .
(Ⅰ) Answer questions
Teacher: Ask the students to look at Exercise1 on Page 36 and read through the sentences to
make the students know what to do ..Show the exercise on the screen .
Students: Try to find the answers to the questions individually.
Teacher: Call back the answers from individual student.
Students: Be volunteer to report their answers in front of the class and listen to other
reporters’ answers carefully.
Teacher: Give them evaluation and encouragement. Give correction where necessary.
设计意图:通过自主判断和相互对比讨论,掌握英语中的延续性动词和非延续性动词用
于现在完 成时态中的区别。
(Ⅲ)Translation practice
Teacher :Use powerpoint to show the students a translation exercise and ask the students to
put the sentences into English .( Circulate , monitor and help where necessary)

Students :Try to put the sentences into English .
Teacher :Use powerpoint to show the question “What’s the difference between lasting verbs
and unlasting verbs when they are used in the the present perfect tense ? ” to the students and ask
them to disscuss in pairs .
Students :Be active to discuss the question in pairs .
Teacher: Give them evaluation and encouragement. Give correction where necessary .Finally
summarize their answers and draw a conclusion.
设计意图:通过对英语中延续性动 词和非延续性动词的归类练习,使学生进一步巩固延
续性动词和非延续性动词用于现在完成时态中的区别 ,并通过练习使学生进一步掌握延续性
动词和非延续性动词在现在完成时态中的使用。


Step Ⅳ How lasting verbs and unlasting verbs are used in the present perfect
tense .
(Ⅰ)Adverbial phrases
Teacher : Ask the students to look at Exercise4 on Page 36 , show the exercise on the screen
and read out the sentences as the students follow.
Students : Be volunteer to report their answers in front of the class and listen to other
reporters’ answers carefully .
Teacher : Give them evaluation and encouragement . Give correction where necessary.

设计意图:
让学生通过观察,相互讨论 对比,总结出常用于现在完成时态表示相同汉
语意思作时间状语的短语
(Ⅱ) Oral practice
Teacher : Ask the students to look at Exercise5 on Page 36 , read the instructions and the
example .Show the example on the screen .Make sure the students know what to do .
Students: Make conversations according to the example in pairs.
Teacher : Ask some individual pairs to act out their conversations.
Students : Be volunteer to act out their conversations in front of the class and listen to other
volunteers’ conversations carefully.
Teacher : Give evaluation and encouragement . Give correction where necessary.
设计意图:让学生通过口语对 话练习,进一步掌握常用于现在完成时态中作时间状语的
短语的使用,提高学生的语言综合运用能力。
