英语专业四级考试（下 文简称专四）是检验学生在专业英语基础学习阶段学习成效的权
威考试，其重要性不言而喻。在目前的专 四新题型中，词汇语法题和完形填空题的考点相近。
这两部分都把考查重点放在了词汇量、词义辨析、词 组搭配、语法知识的运用等方面，因此
考生可将两者合并复习，这样能起到事半功倍的作用。这两部分的 解题时间为30分钟，分
值占整张试卷的25%，在考试中可谓举足轻重。

问题一：请问专四考试要求的词汇量是多少？与大学英语六级相比，哪个考试词汇量
要求更大？

高等学校英语专业教学大纲规定专四水平学生应认知词汇5,500～6,500个，正 确而熟练
地运用其中的3,000～4,000个及其最基本的搭配。而考生们比较熟悉的大学英语六级 考试
要求5,500个单词。从考纲规定来说，专四的词汇量比六级更大，而且专四对词汇搭配、词义辨析考查得更加细化和专业；由于新六级考试已经取消了词汇语法题，因此在词汇用法的
掌握方面 要求明显低于专四。

问题二：专四的词汇语法题和完形填空题包含哪些题型和考点？又该如何复习？

无论是词汇语法还是完形填空，主要包含以下六大题型，每一种题型的考点各具特色：

1．近义词辨析题

表示“真实的”的形容词可以有true, genuine, r eal等，不一而足，但含义上彼此有差异，
用法也不尽相同，比如true强调“符合真理的，正确的 ”，genuine强调“非人造的，货真价实
的”，real则强调“事件的真实性”，可理解为“显 示的，并非虚假的”。此时就要注意结合考题
的上下文，选择符合要求的词汇。

2．词根词缀辨析题

英语单词的构成可包含三个成分：前缀(prefix)+词根( root)+后缀(suffix)。下面我们以
respectable（体面的，高尚的，值得尊敬 的）这个词为例：“re-”是前缀，表示“重复做某动
作”；“spect”是词根，意思是一个动作 ——“看”；而“-able”是后缀，它首先揭示了该单词的词
性是形容词，另外，这个形容词后缀的 意思是“能够……的，值得……的”。而英语中，很多单
词含有相同的词根，即含义上有一定的联系性， 此时就比较难判断词义用法。如respectable
的同根词有respectful （态度恭敬的）和respective （各自的）。这三个单词的词根都是“spect”，
拼写也 有些相似，但词义相去甚远。平时复习时，考生应当重点积累这类含有相同词根的词
汇，并且背单词时要 学会掌握常见词根、前缀、后缀的含义，从而在解题时才可以运用构词
法知识来判断词语含义。

短对话听力的一些原则
1． 推理原则：一般需对对话进行推理，故直接在对话中听到的一般不是正确
答案。
2． 挫折原则：通常要办的事情都是不顺利的（如买东西买不到，订房间客满
等）
3． 男女原则：一般男生比较衰，女生比较牛。男生提出的观点女生都是不同

听 写，顾名思义，既听又写，它渗透在各种形式的语言活动中，是最常用到的基本功之一。听写测试要求考生把听到 的
内容准确无误地以笔头的形式表达出来，虽无需考生自己遣词造句，但由于牵涉到语言（听力，单词拼 写，篇章结构等）
与非语言能力（如记忆力，速记等）也决非易事。提高听写能力，关键就是加强各种相 关知识和技能的训练。
1．语言知识方面：
首先，必须提高听力水平，熟悉英美国家的说 话发音的不同方式，语音语调；其次对于大纲中所列单词和短语，不仅要
认知，而且会熟练拼写；由于朗 读中没有念出分段或标点，因此考生听后，要根据对篇章的理解来判断选择。另外考生
可以利用二读三读 时的停顿，一般地说，二读时，某个意群如有停顿，接下去是另一意群，那么两者之间可能有符号，
如逗 号，也可能没有，要看两者的关系，若是回读（三读）该意群，那么这之后肯定是表示完整的一句结束了，因此最
有可能是句号。此外，要充分利用语法知识进行分析，如单复数是否一致?上下文时态是否相配?大小写 是否恰当?介词
搭配或词语用法是否合乎规范?前后语意内容是否通顺等。
2．非语言能力方面：
加强记忆和速记能力。有时候，听的内容都懂了，但由于记忆的问题或 时间的问题没写下来，因此在平时的训练中，有

意识地不是以单个的词而是以意群为单位 进行理解和记忆；在短暂的停顿空间，如果时间来不及，可以选用自己熟悉的
缩写形式或符号记录，等以 后有时间时再复原。这种速记能力也要靠平时的多练，才能获得。
充分利用听写的朗读方式，选用相应的书写技巧。
如：在听第一遍时，重点听主题思想，重点 词，掌握全局概念，不要一听录音就写，否则也许能写出前边的单词或句子，
却有可能不知全文的大意。
第二遍和第三遍是以句子为单位重复的，以意群为单位停顿的，在听第二遍录音时，因时间关系，不可能 一字一字地全
部写下，所以要分清主次信息，重点抓句型结构和关键词等，在听第三遍时，再把其它次要 信息如修饰语?定冠词等遗
漏内容补上；在听最后一遍（四遍）时最后仔细核对。
3.根据评分方式，学会取舍。
因为听写的评分不是根据写出的单词个数多少而是以是否表达 清楚原文的主要意思为依据，然后以是否有小的错误，如
单复数，大小写，定冠词等分层次扣分，也就是 说，扣分有主要和次要信息之分，因此听的时候也要分清重点和非重点；
另外听写的全部内容根据意群分 成15分，每个意群最多扣一分，如果在听的过程中有个别词或词组一下反应不出来，
就不要苦苦纠缠单 个的词，要跟着录音进行下一意群的听写，避免个别词或句的错漏影响对其它内容的听音。

要想快速扎实提高阅读能力，我们可从以下几个方面努力：

一、养成二次阅读习惯，培养逻辑推理能力

很多书上要求学生 学会分析文章的结构，其实就是要求学生提高逻辑推理能
力。在平时练习中，学生做完阅读，唯一可做就 是对答案，事实上，纠正答案后
对文章的再次阅读往往至关重要。第一遍读文章时，我们应当模拟 考试 的紧张
气氛，尽量高质快速。但，对完答案后，我们有充足的时间再次阅读文章。第二

< br>次阅读文章我们的目的不在是获取信息，而是把握文章的布局安排，分析作者的
意图。我们必须带 着思考再次阅读文章，问问自己以下问题：

如果自己写同样题目或题材的文章，会采取 何种文章布局？如我们自己设想的
布局与作者不同，那么具体不同之处在何处？这篇文章与以前读过的同 体裁文章
相比，有何特点？

也许有人会说，这样的训练不就成了精读课了吗？ 如果时间允许，二次阅读成
了精读，又有何不可？讲求速度的范读是应试而用，要想真正培养逻辑推理能 力，
提高阅读水平，还非精读不可。文章的是永远读不完的，如果想着去读200篇各
种模拟阅 读题，倒不如踏踏实实读50篇历年真题。另外，地道的文章分析多了，
对自己写文章布局谋篇也不无好 处。

二、自己学写长句，克服长难句障碍

几乎每一篇阅读， 总有一两句长难句。有许多同学这样分析那样分析，可就分
析不出什么名堂。听力好的同学不一定发音好 ，可发音好的同学一定听力好。同
样，能写出长难句的人当然不会怕什么长难句。

同学们应当做的是找一本好的语法书，认认真真学习句子结构那部分。 英语
的句子主干往往并不复杂 ，只是其粘着修饰成分过多。我们一开始应当学会如何
写出简单的基本句型，然后再通过附加各种从句、 插入语、非谓语形式，来逐步
扩充句子结构。

分析长难句与扩充句子正好是反 其道而行之，我们必须一步步砍去插入语、
各种从句、非谓语形式，来获得句子主干。所以只要欲简之必 先扩之，我们与
其寻求各种长难句分析法，不如先学会自己写长句。

三、文章归类阅读，考前复习有奇效

阅读文章成千上万，如何从有限中把握规律才是关 键。阅读文章总是按照每套
试题四篇文章分布，于是众多学子也就按部就班。可是如果我们把自己读过的 所
有文章按照主题分类，比如分为校园类、医学类、家庭类、环境类等等，到了考
前，再按类别 复习这些文章，我们不仅能系统掌握某一类别文章常用的 词汇 ，
也能把握该类文章的结构特点和出题规律。

最好的方法是，我们一开始就制 定分类标准，每做完一篇文章就在其标题后或
首句前注明文章的类别，这样到了考前，归纳起来就容易多 了。

提高专四阅读理解能力

高校英语专业四级考试的第五部分是阅读理解。本部分测试学生 通过阅读获取有关信息的能
力，考核学生掌握相关阅读策略和阅读技巧的程度；既要求阅读的准确性，也 要求一声的阅
读速度。阅读速度为每分钟120个单词。阅读是语言学习中最主要的输入方式，是获取信 息
和扩大知识最根本的途径，对培养扎实的语言基础知识具有重要的意义，在听、说、读、写、
译五项基本语言技能中占据的重要地位自不待言。
提高阅读理解能力，首先应该树立、培养良好 的默读习惯，克服、减少现有
的各种不良阅读习惯，以提升阅读速度和效率。常见的不良阅读习惯包括逐 字阅
读、出声阅读、唇读、喉读、心读、指字阅读、摆头、回读等。
（1）逐字阅读是指 阅读过程中一词一词的阅读，注意力全部集中在每词每
句的细节上，往往只能读懂材料的字面意义，容易 忽略对材料的总体把握。
（2）出声阅读指阅读过程中不由自主地小声读出每个单词。
（3）唇读指阅读过程中虽然不发出声音，但是嘴唇在嚅动。
（4）喉读指阅读过程中虽然不出声音，喉头在移动。
（5）心读指阅读过程中虽然不出声，嘴唇和声带也都未动，但是心中一直
在默诵每个单词。
（6）指字阅读指在阅读过程中视线随着指头或者笔头的移动而移动。
（7）摆头指阅读过程中不自觉地将头随着视线左右来回地晃动。
（8）回读指在阅读过程中不断地重复阅读已经阅读过的部分。
逐字阅读、出声阅读、唇读、喉读 、心读这几种不良的阅读习惯相互关联，
可能是受到初级阶段英语教学中朗读的影响而不自觉地形成的。 回读可能有多种
因素造成，或纯粹出于习惯，或缺乏自信心，或心不在焉，注意力不集中，或出
现词汇、语法、理解障碍，或是阅读过于匆忙，对前文的信息未能把握，不得不
反复回头查阅已读部分， 欲益反损，适得其反，降低了读速和效果。
默读只有眼睛和大脑的参与，阅读的效率最高。常见的 不良阅读习惯，除了
眼睛和大脑的参与之外，还有手指、嘴唇、喉头、声带、头部等其他器官的参与，< br>增加了语音和动作的干扰。参与的器官越多，加工的时间越长，阅读的效率越低。
在平时的阅读活 动中，要留心自己存在哪些不良阅读习惯，力争克服。比如，克
服出声阅读、唇读可以将食指轻放在嘴唇 上，防止嘴唇嚅动。克服喉读可以将手
轻触喉部，避免喉头移动。克服逐字阅读和心读可以按照意群阅读 ，提高读速。

提高阅读理解能力，还应学习、掌握一些阅读技巧和阅读方法，这往 往可以
取得事半功倍的效果。比如，在阅读理解过程中不断地进行预测。阅读理解过程
并非仅仅 是被动的、单向的、解码的过程，而是主动的、双向的、交流的过程。
阅读时不断作出预测，然后不断加 以验证和修正，再不断进一步作出预测，如此
不断循环反复，形成读者与作者交流互动的过程。预测的依 据是自己的语言知识，
以及背景知识等其他非语言知识，可以根据文章的标题、题材（科普、经济、文< br>化等）、体裁（记叙、议论、说明等）、结构（开篇、正文、结尾）等。又如，
在阅读理解过程中 ，利用上下文、构词法、语法、连接词、定义、举例、因果关
系、同位语关系、同义或反义关系等来猜测 文中出现的生词的意义。
阅读理解是一种较为综合性的英语基本技能。考生对词汇、短语、语法、 结
构、篇章、语用、修辞等语言知识的掌握，以及对所读材料背景的了解多寡和熟
悉程度、逻辑 分析能力、归纳推理能力、预测能力等非语言知识的掌握，都会对
阅读理解的考试成绩产生一定的影响。
通过对历年英语专业四级试卷的内容和学生考卷情况的分析，发现学生暴露
出以下几个问题：
（1）掌握的词汇量太少，未能达到高校英语专业四级考试大纲所规定的相
应的词汇量，造成阅读材料中 的生词较多。
（2）对英语特殊的表达方式不能充分理解，因而仅仅能够理解字面上的意
