Some
researchers claim that people’s personalities can
be classified by their blood types.?
If you
have blood type O, you are a leader. When you see
something you want, you strive
to achieve your
goal. You are passionate, loyal, and self-
confident, and you are often a
trendsetter.
Your enthusiasm for projects and goals spreads to
others who happily follow your
lead. When you
want something, you may be ruthless about getting
it or blind to how your
英语(A卷)(第 3 页,共 10 页)
actions affect others. Another blood type, A,
is a social, ―people‖ person. You like people and
work well with them. You are sensitive,
patient, compassionate, and affectionate. You are
a
good peacekeeper because you want everybody
to be happy. In a team situation, you resolve
conflicts and keep things on a smooth course.
Sometimes type As are stubborn and find it
different to relax. They may also find it
uncomfortable to do things alone.?
People with
type B blood are usually individualists who like
to do things on their own.
You may be creative
and adaptable, and you usually say exactly what
you mean. Also you can
adapt to situations,
you may not choose to do so because of your strong
independent streak. You
may prefer working on
your own to being part of a team. The final blood
type is type AB. If
you have AB blood, you are
a natural entertainer. You draw people to your
because of your
charm and easygoing nature.

downside, though, they may take
too long to make decisions. And they may

Global warming
threatens to hold back human progress, and make
unachievable all UN
targets to reduce poverty,
according to some of the world’s leading
international and
development groups.
In a
report published today, Oxfam, Greenpeace,
Christian Aid, Friends of the Earth,
WWF and
15 other groups say rich governments must
immediately address climate change to
avoid
even ―unbearable levels‖ of worldwide poverty.
英语(A卷)(第 4
页,共 10 页)
―Food production, water
supplies, public health and people’s living
environment are
already being damaged,‖ the
report says. ―The world must meet its promise to
achieve poverty
reduction and also deal with
climate change.‖
The report, which draws on UN
predictions of the effects of climate change in
poor
countries over the next 50 years, says
poor countries will experience more flooding,
declining
food production, more disease and
the worsening or disappearing of entire
ecosystems(生态系
统)on which many of the world’s
poorest people depend.
―Climate change needs
to be addressed now. The poor will bear the burden
of it. The
frontline experience of many of us
working in international development indicates
that
communities are having to fight against
more extreme weather conditions.‖
Climate
change will play havoc(浩劫)with agriculture and
water supplies and will increase
diseases. ―By
2025 the proportion of the world’s population
living in countries of great water
stress will
almost double, to 6 billion people. Tropical and
sub-tropical areas will be hardest hit
— those
countries already suffering from food shortage‖.
Poor countries mostly do not need high-tech
solutions, but would most benefit from
education, research and being shown how to
farm better. The report says unchecked global
warming, more than wars or political
confusion, will displace millions of people and
destabilize
(不安定) many countries.
28.
________ should play a leading role in resisting
the more extreme weather conditions
according
to the report.
A. International groups.
B. Poor countries.
C. Rich
countries.
D. Tropical and sub-tropical countries.
29. Which of the following is NOT the effect
of global warming according to the report?
A.
More natural disasters and starvation.
B.
Increasing the world’s population.
C. Making
millions of people move to other places.
D.
Shaking the foundation of a country.
30. Which
of the following is NOT TRUE according to the
text?
A. Poverty and climate change are
closely linked.
B. More and more people will
suffer from the water stress and food shortage.
C. What the poor countries need badly is high
technology.
D. International communities have
to take steps to resist the bad climate.
31.
What is the best title of the passage?
A.
International Development Brings in Climate
Change.
B. Global Warming Is a Bigger Threat
to Poor.
C. International Groups Work Together
to Reduce Poverty.
D. Worldwide Poverty Shall
Be Avoided.

America is growing older.
Fifty - eight years ago, only 4 out of every 100
people in
the United States were 65 or older.
To day, 10 out of every 100 Americans are over 65.
The
英语(A卷)(第 5 页,共 10 页)
aging of the population will affect American
society in many ways—education, medicine, and
business. Quietly, the graying of America has
made us a very different society—one in which
people have a quite different idea of what
kind of behavior is suitable at various ages.
A person s age no longer tells you anything about
hisher social position, marriage or
health.
There’s no longer a particular year in which one
goes to school or goes to work or gets
married
or starts a family. The social clock that kept us
on time and told us when to go to school,
get
a job, or stop working isn’t as strong as it used
to be. It doesn’t surprise us to hear of a 29 -
year - old university president or a 35 - year
-old grandmother, or a 70 year - old man who has
become a father for the first time. Public
ideas are changing.
Many people say, ―I am
much younger than my mother— or my father— was at
my
age. ‖No one says ―Act your age‖ any more.
We’ve stopped looking with surprise at older
people who act in youthful ways.
32. It
can be learnt from the text that the aging of the
population in America ________ .
A. has made
people feel younger.
B. has changed people’s
social position.
C. has changed people’s
understanding of age.
D. has slowed down the
country’s social development.
33. The
underlined word ―one‖ refers to ________ .
A.
a society.
B. America.
C. a
place.
D. population.
34.
―Act your age‖ means people should ________ .
A. be active when they are old.
B. do the
right thing at the right age.
C. show respect
for their parents young or old.
D. take more
physical exercise suitable to their age.
35.
If a 25 - year - old man becomes general manager
of a big firm, the writer of the text would
most probably consider it ________ .
A.
normal.
B. wonderful.
C.
unbelievable.
D. unreasonable.
第二节(共5小题;每小题2分,满分10分)
根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。
Most of us have the experience of dropping
phones in water. 36 There is, however, the
chance to save your phone if you act quickly
and follow these steps:
Step 1: Turn it off.
A wet phone that is turned on has a
greater chance of short-circuiting(短路) the circuit
board. If you are unsure whether it is on or
off, press the power button quickly to see if
there is
any life. 37 .
Step 2: Dry
the phone off with a soft towel.
英语(A卷)(第 6 页,共 10 页)
38 Dry the phone off with a soft towel, getting
rid of any water on the surface and
preventing
any more from getting in through the ports(接口)
Step 3: Blow air into the ports.
Your initial response may be to dry your phone
with a hair drier. 39 The heat from the
drier can destroy the internal components,
causing the phone useless. Blow air into ports and
other openings which water has entered.
Step 4: Place the phone in a container with a
rice.
By now you’ve done everything to
remove as much water as possible from your phone.
40 There is an easy way of getting every
last bit of water out of your phone – putting your
phone in rice, which can absorb water. Cover
your phone in a paper towel before burying in
rice.
A. This is a very common
mistake.
B. If there is, turn off
immediately.
C. You’re still left with
a wet phone after turning it off.
D.
This could be in the sea or in the toilet where
there is water.
E. Avoid the desire to
test your phone to see if it’s still working.
F. However, chances are that there is still water
in places you can’t success.
G. This
is one of the quickest and easiest ways to dry off
the outside of your phone.

As is known to all,
our school had launched a campaign against bad
habits in order to
establish a civilized
campus. And lots of bad behavior still exists in
our school, what does great
harm to the image
of our school. Therefore, I strong urge that we
students stop throwing rubbish
everywhere and
spitting in the public. Besides, everyone must
discipline himself not make dirty
marks or
waste food. Such bad manner as smoking and
fighting should also be removed from
our
campus. With the same time, we should also
encourage students to help each other and have
health competitions. Once again I’m here
earnestly calling on everyone to take action to
making
our school a nicer place.
