first of all i want to state that everyone in the universe is
unique. we know that the original form of a person is a

said that the existing people are the favourite of god. then pay
attention to some data: every year among the new born babies,

diseases or disability. therefore, as the comparatively unique
and fortunate one, that i come, i see, i stand here, is the best
and biggest gift i bring to the university.

on the other hand, at present i am a part of your school thus
when i am in other places i always keep the belief in mind that
on no account can i do harm to the school’s reputation and in
the meanwhile i should make every effort to do credit to our
school. with regard to the future, infinite possibilities lie there,
whether i become eminent or ordinary, i will inherit and spread
the concept of your school to a wider world.

how do you get to school?你怎样去上学到校？

get to到达。get为不及物动词，其后接介词to,再接地点名词。get
to tibet.

表示到达的词或短语还有：arrive in+(大地点)；arrive at+(小地点)，
但是地点的大小是相对而言的，一般来说大地点指国家或城市；小
地点指车 站机场等。 reach+地点……如：reach beijing到达北京。
一般情况下.它们可以互换： 如：we get to school at 7:00in the
morning.=we reach school at 7:00 in the morning.=we arrive at
school at 7:00in the morning.

当它们后面接地点副词home，there, here时，前不接任何介词，
即get home; reach home; arrive home. how在本句中是用来询问
对方达到某地的方式。 到达某地的方式的表达法：

take+限定词语+交通工具，用来表示具体采用某种交通工具，相当
于by+交通工具。 只不过take为动词，by为介词，在同一句中两种
表达不能同时出现：take a (the)
busboattrainsubwaytaxiplane…=by
busboattrainsubwaytaxiplane…

inon+限定词+交通工具，一般情况下，无厢，无舱的只能用on,如
on the bike；其余的两者均可；但是乘小汽车只能用in the car,而
不能用on the car；限定词为冠词，形容词性物主代词或指示代词。
走路：walk=on foot

骑自行车：ride a (theone’s) bike=by bike 动词+to+地点名词

it takes about 25 minutes to walk and 10 minutes by bus.花费

it takes sb. some timemoney to do sth.某人花费多少时间或金钱
做某事。it为形式主语，即假主语，真正的主语是to do sth.即动词
不定式。且只能用it作形式主语。如：it takes me half an hour to
do my homework. spend也有花费的意思，但是是花费时间金钱，
主语是人，句型是：sb. spend some timesome money on(in)
doing sth. 如：last friday i spent 100 yuan (in) buying a
beautiful coat.

pay表示花费金钱，主语为人(sb.)。如：i paid two yuan for this
new pen just now.

cost花费。物作主语，某物花费某人多少金钱：sth. cost sb.
some money.如：this coat cost me 200 yuan last friday.

have a quick breakfast很快地吃完早饭

quick快，指用较短的时间或在较近的将来即可发生或完成某事，
常用来形容在智力等方 面反应灵敏。是形容词，一定条件也可与副
词互换，即have a quick breakfast=have breakfast quickly。

fast一般指物体的运动速度快，常用来形容交通工具跑得快，人的
动作快等。如：her watch is fast.她的手表快了，fast既是形容词，
也是副词。be fast中的fast是形容词，i run fast.我跑得快，这里
的fast是副词，修饰动词。

soon快，不久，指现在或指定时间之后不久。如：they went
home soon.很快，他们回了家。 the early bus takes him to
school.

the early bus早班车，这里的early是形容词，是早的意思，而i
get up early every day.这里的early是副词，修饰动词get.

take him to school这里的take是带领，带的意思。take +
地点，带某人去某地。如：last summer his mother took him to
kunming. 表示两地间距离的方法

地点a+is+距离数+from地点b

如：her home is two kilometers from her school.她家离学校有
2千米。 用时间表示：

their school is twenty minutes’ walk from the train station.从火
车站到他们学校要步行二十分钟。

it is+距离数+from+地点a+ to+地点b

that本句中指乘船。即taking a boat本句用了比较级a lot more
fun有趣得多。全句的意思是；乘船比乘车有趣得多。

must本句中是情态动词，表推测，只用在肯定句中，后接动词原形，
意思是一定。如：she must be at home.她一定在家。在否定句与
疑问句中用can表示可能性。he can’t be at home.他不可能在家。

must还可表示必须，应该之意，以must 开头的一般疑问句，肯定
回答用must,否定回答用needn’t some+可数名词复数…，
others…一些…，其他…

如：some women like walking, others like watching tv.一些妇
女喜欢散步，其余的人喜欢看电视。这里的others=other women.

other其他的，另外的，别的(人或事物)：other+可数名词复数。
one…the other…一个…，另一个…这时指两个范围内的。如：she
has two pens, one is red, the other is yellow.她有两支钢笔，一
支是红色的，另一支是黄色的。

the others其余的或剩下的人或事物。这是表特指范围的。 else、
other意思相同，但用法不同。即：不定代词+else; 作副词时用在

词时用在名词或代词one(one’s)前作定语。如：he often helps

be different from…与…不同。如：my watch is different from

a number of意思是许多的，相当于many，后接可数名词复数，
作主语时，谓 语动词通常用复数，number之前可加
great,good,large,small等词修饰， 表示程度。如：most students
ride bikes to school,a number of students walk to school.大部
分学生骑车上学，少数学生走路上学。 the number of +可数名词复
数，表示…的数目，作主语时，谓语动词通常用单数。如：the
number of students in our school is about 700.我们学校的学生
数量大约是700。

what…think of =how…like…，意思是认为……怎么样？如：what

look与see都有表示看，但是look与look at强调看的 动作、过程，

look at=have a look at。

see强调看的内容和结果。如：i can see a number of birds in

let sth.让某人做某事，这是祈使句，let后要接动词原形。如：
