China's lunar exploration and space engineering center is planning to collect names for the Chang'e-3 （CE-3） lunar
rover, which will be launched at the end of this year, from across the world.

The global name-collecting campaign is initiated to enhance people's understanding of China's lunar exploration
project and increase their patriotic enthusiasm. People can submit their ideas through the Internet as soon as the
activity kicks off in late September.

【单词讲解】

文中的lunar rover就是“月球车”的意思。rover 本身是“流浪者、漫步者”的意思，常用来指“探测器”，如“火星
探测器”即Mars rover。lunar指“月球的；月亮的”，如lunar calendar即中国传统的“阴历”，相对应的，solar
calendar指“阳历”。
