西班牙番茄节
The Tomatina(番茄节) is Spain’s famous festival．It is the biggest tomato fight
in the world as well as one of the biggest food fights(打仗) in Europe．It takes
place yearly on the last Wednesday in August in Bunol（布诺），a small town in
Valencia(巴伦西亚)．Tens of thousands of people from all over the world gather in
Bunol to throw tomatoes at each other．
The Tomatina is not a religious(宗教的) festival，but there are many stories
about its history．The most popular story is about a Wednesday in August 1945．As
a part of the yearly festival，there was a parade of giants(巨人游行)．A group of
young people who wanted to join in the parade accidentally(偶然) knocked over one
of the giants who swung out(散射) at everyone around him．The young people grabbed(抓
起) some tomatoes from a nearby store to defend(防卫) themselves and so began the
Tomatina．
Many people take part in this harmless(无伤害的) food battle．In one hour over
