时间状语从句：as的用法
一. 某事一发生，另一事立即发生 As the sun rose the frog
dispersed. 太阳一出来雾就消散。 <>
They strolled into the garden as the music ceased. 音乐声
一停，他们就走进花园。 <>
二. 在某事发生的过程中另一事发生 I heard the murmur of
their voices as I crossed
the hall. 我走过大厅的时候听到他们在嘀咕什么。 （两个动作
都是一般时态） <> Just as he was speaking
there was a loud explosion. 正当他在说话的时候，一声巨
响。 （从句用进行时态） 三. 两个动作同时发生 He
smiled as he passed. 他路过的时候笑了一下。 （两个都是短
暂动作） <> As she sang, the
tears ran down her cheeks. 她一边唱歌，眼泪一边从脸颊淌
下。 <> Helen heard the story
as she washed. 海伦一边洗衣服一边听故事。 <> He saw that

read. 他看到她一边看着书一边笑。 （两个都是延续性动作）

“as” 作连词的用法


as 作连词 1.当...的时候 He rose as she entered. 当
她进来的时候，他站了起来。 2.因为
As Davidson had a passion for walking, we started
off on foot.
因为戴维逊很想走走路，所以我们就步行启程了。 3.既然
As you are sorry, I'll forgive
you. 既然你有认错之意，我就原谅你啦。 4.按照 I have
changed it as you suggest.
我按照你的建议作了一些修改。 5.像 Do as I do it. 像
我作的方法再作一下。 6.正如 As he knew,
she wasn't much at letter- writing. 正如他所知道的，
她不太善于写信。
这里举的例子都是as接状语从句。

“as” 用于引起定语从句


as 用于引起定语从句，多和such连用。 Such people as you
decribe are rare nowadays.
你描绘的那种人如今很少见了。 Let's discuss only such
question as concern everyone
of us. 我们只谈与我们每人都有关的问题吧。 <><><> 也可用在
下面这类句子中： He oppose the idea, as
could be expected. 正如可以预料到的，他反对这个意见。 有
时和same连用： I have the same
trouble as you have. 我和你有同样的困难。



as在句子中可以做连词、介词及关系代词和副词，现分述如下：
1、as做连词：
1)“当……时候”，强调两个动作同时发生，用来引导时间状语
从句。
例：Hesatwatchingas
shegotready.(他一直坐着看她准备停当。)
2)“既然、由于”表示原因，用来引导原因状语从句。
例：Asyouarebusy,I’
llgooutbymyself.(既然你很忙，我就单独外出吧。)
3)“尽管、虽然”，用来引导让步状语从句(常用于倒装句)。
例：As heisasmallchild,hegoestoschoolalone.(虽然他还是个小
孩， 他独自上学。)
4)“正如、按照”，用来引导方式或比较状语从句。
例：WheninRome,doastheRomansdo.(入乡随俗。)
2、as做介词：
1)“如同、像”例：Heactedasanoffi-cial.(他的做派像名官
员。)
2)“作为”
例：Weregardhimasourmodel.(我们把他当做我们的模范。)
3、as做副词与……一样(as…as…前一个是副词)
例：Todayisascoldasyesterday.(今天和昨天一样冷。)
as还有一些固定结构：
1)as well as———和……一样
2)as far as———就……来说
3)as long as———只要
4)as soon as———一……就
5)as if———好像
