威廉·莎士比亚William Shakespeare（1564－1616）英国最杰
出 的戏剧家，也是欧洲文艺复兴时期最重要、最伟大的作家。莎士比亚十四行诗
sonnet成书大约于1 590年至1598年之间，共154首。其诗作的结构和语言技巧
都极高，诗集分为两部分，第一部分 为前126首，献给一个年轻的贵族，热烈地
歌颂了这位朋友的美貌以及他们的友情；第二部分28首则 献给一位“黑女士”，
描写了美好的爱情。莎士比亚的妻子叫Anne，育有两女。

SONNET 12
When I do count the clock that tells the time,
And see the brave day sunk in hideous night;
When I behold the violet past prime,
And sable curls, all silver'd o'er with white;
When lofty trees I see barren of leaves

诗歌赏析
“时光和死亡”是诗 歌永恒的主题，诗中我们可以窥见莎翁对时间的看法。诗
人开篇便提出哲理性认识：美好事物终究会离去 。随后，诗人将诗歌内容从大千
世界万物的消亡转入到对人类的生老病死的探讨，营造了一种极为悲凉的 气氛。
最后，全诗气氛峰回路转，揭示诗歌主题：要想在时光残忍的杀戮下逃脱，就得
世代繁衍 ，通过爱超越时间方可达到永恒。莎士比亚商籁诗为五步抑扬格，每行
十个音节；共四个诗节，前三诗节 各有四句，末节为两句，韵律多用ABAB CDCD
EFEF GG格式。

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate:

莎士比亚的这首十四行诗被广泛认为是所有商籁诗中最著名的一首。他为好
友William Herbert而作，Herbert是一位英俊的贵族青年，莎翁对他的喜爱超出
了一般同性之间的友 谊。在诗中，莎士比亚把他与夏天作比较，但英国的夏天的
美好却短暂，年轻、美貌这些自然之物都会随 时间而逝，而Herbert之所以能永
葆青春，因为他能在莎士比亚的诗中作为美好的精神象征永存。 此诗为五步抑扬
格，韵律为ABAB CDCD EFEF GG。

在莎翁154首商籁诗中，此诗旗帜鲜明地提出了爱情的标准。爱情，必须要
专一，不可半途而 废，见异思迁；爱情是指导人生的航标：生命有限，但爱情永
恒。此诗意象清晰通俗，说理自然，言简意 赅，尾句口语色彩强烈。

在莎翁后150首商籁诗后28篇诗中，诗人讴歌了一位黑发黑肤黑眼睛、擅
长音乐的少妇，她 魅力四射，但在情感生活上轻浮放荡，据说与诗人热爱的那个
美少年有染。女子是谁有多种传说，也有人 揣度就是莎翁自己妻子安娜。在这首
充满色情语言的诗篇中，诗人极为坦诚率真地谈性，由此也可见真正 文学巨匠更
人性化的一面。此诗也为五步抑扬格，其韵律与大多数诗篇不同，采用了ABAB
CDCD AEAE AA形式。
