初中新课程英语听力教学案例

[摘要] 初中英语教学大纲要求“通过听、说、 读、写的训练使学
生获得英语基本知识与为交际初步运用英语的能力。”但是,我市中
学自20 04年采用英语新教材以来,英语的听力教学仍然存在着诸多
问题,并不能够达到理

想的教学效果。这一状况需要我们做出多方面的努力来进行改善。

[关键词] 听力教学;案例分析;英语听力

一、研究背景

在2004年以前, 我市大部分中学用的是人民教育出社出版的英语
教材,其听力部分只是对教材中对话及课文部分的朗读, 显然这已
经不能适应我国课程改革及中学英语教学的实际需要。为此,我市
初中一年级新生从2 004年开始使用《英语(新目标)(go for it!)》
相配套的教学用书。本书将话题、功能 和任务有机结合,着力于开
发学生的学习潜能,启迪学生的思维,在模块设计及内容安排上既
注 意基本语言内容,又着重知识的扩展和语言的综合运用,充分反
映了教材特色,体现了课程改革精神。新 教材的听力训练充分考虑
到了初一学生的年龄特点,紧扣单元话题,配有图文并茂、生动活
波、 由外籍专家朗读的录音材料,旨在培养其通过听来获取英语语
言信息的能力。此教材与以前使用的人教版 教材相比,难度加深,
要求有所提高,并且特别强调要关注每个学生的情感,激发学生学
习兴趣 ,倡导任务型的教学模式,以使他们在学习过程中充分培养
语言的综合运用能力。

初一英语新教材投稿使用后,我为考察初中英语听力教学方面的问
题,曾多次参加观摩听课,并多次走访 兄弟学校师生。经过考察,
我认为目前的英语听力培养方面存在着一些问题。针对这些问题,
我 希望能够通过下面一个典型的教学案例,找出自己与同行在英语
听力教学过程中存在的困惑与问题;并希 望通过研究、探讨,能够
找出解决问题的方案,与同行们共同交流,共同提高。

二、案例呈现

初一英语听力新教材在每个单元的开头部分都设计了听力部分。那
么 ,如何在这一模块落实新课标,切实培养与提高学生的听力技巧,
将听与说、读、写有机结合起来呢?以 下是笔者整理的教学案例,
并加入了简要的评述。

八年级(下)unit 1:will people have robots?

task one:

lead-in

show some pictures of robots and talk about them.

free talk: what can a robot do?

what kind of robot do you want to design?

注:教师通过展示图片和问题讨论,引入本节课学习的话题——机
器人。

task two:

show the pictures of section a,

(some robots are doing different things.)

注:教师通过这些图片设计几个问题,为以下的听力任务完成做好
铺垫。

task three:

how will the world be different in the future 100 years from
now? read these predictions. check a (for agree)or d(for
disagree).

_____1、people will have robots in their homes.

_____2、people won’t use money. everything will be free.

_____3、books will only be on computers , not on paper.

_____4、kids won’t to school. they’ll study at home on
computers.

_____5、there will only be one country.

_____6、people will live to be 200 years old.

注:本环节进入本课主题——听一段听力材料,完成听力。教师利
用第一环节的铺垫,完成选 择。

task four:

Ⅰcheck the answers by playing the tape.

Ⅱread the listening material together.

Ⅲ listen the tape again.

注:教师通过边播放录音边检查同学们的答案,逐个答案检查完之
后再整体地听一遍文章。

三、案例分析

以上是经过本人观察,发现很多教师在教学此部分时所普遍采取的
教学程序和步骤。我们不禁要问:教学目标完成了吗?教学效果达
到了吗?乍一看,此教师采用 了任务型的教学模式,由浅入深地完
成了教学任务。我们知道,新课标要求能通过听力训练,培养学生< br>良好的听力习惯以及获取信息的能力。但纵观整堂课,上述案例中
的授课教师虽然完成了整堂课的 教学内容,但从学生的表现以及通
过仔细的反思,我们就会发现,教学目标并没有完成。那么它有哪些不足呢?笔者认为该堂课主要存在以下几个方面的问题:

1,老师把听英语材料与培 养听力能力简单地等同起来,从而陷入了
盲目的实践中,效率低下,容易挫伤学生积极性。

2,教师受传统的教学思想的制约,以“本”为本,受课本的束缚,因
而亟待更新教材观。

教师应当积极地为了教学目标的实现而利用一切可能的资源。

3,教师的做法局限 于“放音、做题、对答案”。教师只是对生词和难
句进行解释,忽视了听力技能、策略和情感态度的培养 ,达不到应
有的教学效果,有一种过过场的感觉。

4,学生接受听力材料的场所单 一(只在教室中),形式单调(录音
磁带或口语表达内容),时间有限(只在课堂上)。

如何纠正听力教学过程中的偏差,摆脱盲目的实践,提高中学外语
听力教学的效率达到预期的 教学目标呢?

首先,教师要认真学习新的教育教学理论,更新观念。在听力教学
实 践中既要提高学生的听力技能,增长语言知识,更要在听力教学
中关注学生的情感态度、学习策略和英语 文化意识的发展。

其次,我们在听力教学中,要以新课标为指导,把握好语言材料的
选取和运用,适应学生的实际,使之有利于学生的身心健康发展;
我们同时又要运用好所选取的材料来 丰富学生的知识经验,培养学
生的兴趣、信心和意志力,发展学生的创造性思维能力。

第三,教师要认真学习新课程标准,明确听力教学目标,它是新理
念与具体教学实践的结合点 。新课标分别在语言技能、语言知识、
情感态度、学习策略、文化意识五个方面,对不同级别的要求进行
了具体的描述。

第四,教师要认真研究学生的特点,了解学生的知识经验水平,掌
握初中阶段学生的心理特点,把握群体的共性,尊重差异性,注重
发展性,因材施教,面向全体 ;要采用多种途径、多种手段,增加
学生的知识体验,发展学生的创造性思维能力,从而在实践中能够< br>使其不断提高听力理解能力。

总之,只要教师坚持学习,积极更新教育教学理念,在 教材处理、
教学方法和教学评价方面,积极改革传统做法,树立新的学生观和
教学业绩观,按照 新课程标准目标描述要求,积极努力,我们的教
学目标就一定能够达到。

long numbers are spoken as separate digits grouped
rhythmically in twos or threes.

reading cardinal numbers, a comma is sometimes used
instead of a space to separate the thousands in numbers
greater than 999.

how to read “ 0” in english?

“zero” is the most common us usage and the most technical
or precise form. when reading a telephone or bank account
number we say the letter “o”.

nought is commonly used when referring to the figure “ 0”as
part of a number
