咱们来看 看下面几个句子:
4个句子,让学生比较4个宾语的不同,尤其是第4句。
I like swimming.

主从复合句是由一个主【讲解】通过比较让学生思考。告诉学 生:宾语从句是主从复合句的一种。
句和一个或一个以上的从句构成的。主句是复合句的主题,从句仅仅 是主句的一个成分,它从属于
宾语从句当中的从句在全句中主句,不能独立。从句在整个句子中充当什么 成分,就叫什么从句。
作宾语。

一、基本概念和分类
定义:在句 子中起宾语的从句叫做宾语从句。
分类:动词的宾语从句、介词的宾语从句、形容词的宾语从句。
二、用法详解
1、宾语从句的连接词
1)由从属连词that引导的宾语从句:that在句 子中无词汇意义,在从句中不充当成分,在口语当中
往往省略。如:
He said (that) he wanted to stay at home.
She doesn’t know (that) she is seriously ill.
I am sure (that) he will succeed.
2)由连接代词who, whom, whose, which, what 和连接副词where, why, when, how引导的宾语 从句。
这些连接代词和连接副词在宾语从句中充当某个成分,且不可省略。如:
Do you know who / whom they are waiting for?
He asked whose handwriting was the best.
Can you tell me where the NO.3 bus stop is?
I don’t know why the train is late.
3)由从属连词if / whether引导的宾语 从句。if和whether在句中意思为“是否”,不充当成分。例
如:
I want to know if / whether he lives here.
He asked me whether / if I could help him.
注意:
It depends on ________ it is going to rain.
I don’t know ________ it is a bird or not.

【讲解】此时要告诉学生,if 和whether在表达“是否”时,whether更专业。Why ?因为if还有如
果的意思,而whether就老老实实表示“是否”,所以多功能往往不如专一的专 业,所以if和whether
相比,肯定用whether不会错。

2、宾语从句的语序
宾语从句的语序应为陈述句的语序,即“主语
I hear (that) physics isn’t easy.
I think (that) you will like this school soon.
Can you tell me how I can get to zoo?
Please tell me when we will have the meeting.
+谓语”的顺序。如:

A. whom do we have to see B. whom we have to see

3、宾语从句的时态

1)若主句的时态是一般现在时,宾语从句该用什么时态就用什么时态 。即从句可用所需任何时态。
如:
He says Mary is playing with the cat.
He says Mary often plays with the cat.
He says Mary will play with the cat.
He says Mary played with the cat yesterday afternoon.
He says Mary was playing with the cat at 5 yesterday afternoon.
He says Mary has been playing with the cat for half an hour.
2) 若主句的时态是一般过去时,宾语从句只能用相应的过去时态(一般过去时、过去进行时、过去
将来时、 过去完成时)。如:
He asked what time it was.
He told me that he was preparing for the sports meeting.
He said that he would go back to Russia soon.
He asked if you had written to Peter.
3)若宾语从句所陈述的是客观真理,则其时态用一般现在时,不受主句时态的限制。如 :
Our teacher said that January is the first month of the year.
Scientists have proved that the earth turns around the sun.
The teacher said that the moon moves around the earth.
He said light travels much faster than sound.
【讲解 】告诉学生,宾语从句的时态问题仍然只是时态问题,跟宾语从句其实没啥关系。

4)当主句为Could you (please) tell us .....?时,只是表示比较委婉的语气,而不是表示过去时态,所
以从句可用所需的任何时态。Could you tell me where the zoo is?

4、主句的谓语动词是think, believe, imagine, suppose, consider, expect, fancy, guess等,且主句的主
语是第一人称且为一 般现在时,从句的否定词一般要转移到主句上来。

1)陈述句变为that引导的宾语从句
He said, “You are younger than I.”
He says, “Tom is a good student.”
2)一般疑问句变为if / whether引导的宾语
She said, “Do you often come here to read newspaper?”
He said (that) I was younger than him.
He says (that) Tom is a good student.
