Unit 1
Please talk about the reasons for shyness and how to
overcome it.

李：Shyness is the cause of much unhappiness for a great many people,
when they are talking with strangers ,their faces turn red and hardly
say anything.
寿: Yes ,that's really common to see .I think people will be shy when
they are not so confident .they are likely to guess what others think
about them ,and always feel that what they say will be funny and
laughed at a lot.
李：yes，I can not agree with 李 any more，shy people having
self-esteem,are likely to be passive and easily influenced by
need reassurance that they are doing
张: I think so .Sometimes I would be shy, especially when I stood in
front of many people .I'm excessively concerned with my actions and
too nervous to say anything.
韩：I have the same experience with you .At that time,worrisome
thoughts are constantly swirling in my mind .I can't help thinking they
were against me.
李:

there any ways to overcome shyness?this is what I eager to
know .You know, shyness has become barriers when we make friends
or do other things.
寿: I think the first step is When you talk with people, try to relax and
tell yourself that they are just like your friends .They won't find
mistakes on what you are to say or to do, you can just be yourself.
韩：good opinion,for example, you may be timid about being with a
group of strangers at a 't feel that you must converse with
everyone,concentrate on talking to only one or two people,you will
feel more comfortable
张: Besides it, recognize your personal strengths and weakness.
Everyone has both. We should become confident and 't
always make negative comments about yourself,instead give yourself
some you will have a different thought about
yourself
韩: That's true .As for me, if I have to deliver a speech, I will tell
myself not to look at people's eyes and pretend that they are dolls .
this way, I feel much better. Don’t be afraid to speak up your point of
view.
寿：Remember that don’t waste time and energy on guilt and shame.
They are destructive feelings..Instead widely enrich your knowledge,
try to make more friends, and encourage yourselves to get involved in
more activities. Those are all good ways to overcome shyness.
李：

hobbies,and reevaluate your goals spent this way
helps you learn more about yourself.
张:

All in all, to overcome shyness, we can try a lot of small tips .But
the most important thing we should remember is that to become
confident. The better we understand ourselves, the easier it becomes
to live up to our full potential. Let’s not allow shyness to block our
chance for a rich and fulfilling life.



Unit 2
Please talk about your favorite fables寓言or myths神话and the
moral品行of your story.
李: Hi, 韩. I heard you are reading an interesting book about fables,
What’s your favorite fables寓言or myths?
韩: It must be the fable about impress me deeply。
寿/张: oh，I have heard the fable before , too.
李: Really? that sounds good. So, why don’t you share it for me?
韩: Yeah, once upon a time, all the birds were invited to a feast in the
sky. There was a cunning tortoise, he was very hungry and envied the
birds a lot. Slowly but surely he began to plan how he could go to the
sky.
李：But he had no wings. What did he do?
寿: he went to the birds and asked to be allowed to go with them. At
first, the birds didn't believe him, because all the birds know he is full
of cunning. However, as a result of the his sweet tongue, all the birds
agreed he was a changed man, then they all gave him a feather, with
which he made two splendidly colorful wings
张: , To our surprise,when On the feast, the tortoise played tricks on
birds. And eat all the food.
李: Wait, how did the tortoise make it?
张: The tortoise changed his name into “all of you”. When the host said
the feast was prepared for all of you, the tortoise ate first and let the
birds eat after he ate
李: He is so clever! He had come up with such a wonderful idea
寿: I don’t think so. He is cunning. After all the feast is hold for the
birds, the tortoise destroyed the feast
李：how about the birds?
韩：some of them are too angry to eat ,they chose to fly home on an
empty before they left, each took back the feather he
had lent to tortoise.
李: how did the tortoise come back,
韩: he ask the parrot to take message for his wife, which bring out all
the soft things from house and cover the ground with them,so he can
jump down from the sky safely.
李：what happen to the tortoise in the end
寿凯: he is cheated by the parrot,he told his wife to bring out all the
hard and sharp things in the house, finally when the tortoise jump
down from the sky,his shell broke into hundreds of pieces However, a
great medicine man gathered all the bits of shell and stuck them
together.
李: No wonder the tortoise’s shell is not smooth! HA~
but I won't show mercy to the birds, they even lend the tortoise
feathers to help him fly to sky.
张: Yes, I agree with you. The tortoise used his sweet tongue made the
birds believe he was a changed man. can the leopard change his
spots?


















Unit 3
Please talk about a social problem and clarify its reasons and
solutions.
The Generation Gap
韩:hey 兽?you looks so angry,what' wrong？
张：I was quarreled with my father yesterday, they always want me to live
up to their expectations,but they didn't understand me at all
韩：I can't agree with you any more,I had such situation I play
computer on my room,my father think it just a wast of time
兽凯: This is often called generation gap. In modern society, there is
often a lack of understanding between parents and children. Parents often
complained children didn't show them proper respect and concerns while
children often complain their parents can not understand them.
李泽军:en ,I think so . the main reason ,I think,is the cause of young
people want to choose their own do not want to follow what their
parents said,they think most of their ideas are out of date.
兽凯：besides，The young are better educated. They have a lot more
money to spend and enjoy more freedom. they are not so dependent on
their parents. So They think more of themselves and do not blindly accept
the idea of their elders. Therefore, they often hold different opinions on
various problems in life.
韩：what' more ？parents often expect their children to be better than
them.
张:Maybe you are I hate someone always asks me to do this,to
do that,I am an adult now,I have the right to decide on my things.
李:I do not mean to ask you to follow whatever parents said,we can refer
to(参考) what they said to make more proper decisions, the more we
understand each other ,the better we can keep good relationship
张:yeah,to be honest,my parents’ advice is much better sometimes
韩So the generation gap is mostly because we communicate with each
other too little and we always think of ourselves only,if we think about
things in the others’ shoes,I’m sure the situation will be the opposite.
张:yeah,this is absolutely when A will decide something next
time,I will exchange views with my parents
李:this is a so easy thing,we make it so different because of the less of
,how important the communication is.


UNIT 4
Describe a career you’re likely to pursue 从事in the future.
How are you preparing for your future career（职业） in college?
张：Hey，guys! Let’s talk something about what we want to do in the
future. Ok, here we go! 李八两，you first.
李: Firstly, the job I’d prefer to take has a flexible working schedule.
And I like drawing pictures, of course, I’m good at it. Then,
my job will be related to the fashion world. I also have a
gifted（
有天赋的

寿：I realize that you are interested in stylish(时髦) clothes, so, you
want to be a fashion designer?
