一Please introduce your hotel.
I am working at Chang An Grand Hotel . The hotel is a five star business and conference hotel. It is located in the
southeast corner of the capital. Next to the Pan Jia Yuan flea market.
Our hotel has 27 floors. 373 different types of rooms. When it comes to Dining facilities, In our hotel, there are
Chinese Restaurant Western Restaurant lobby bar A+A bar and banquet service.
二How many booking steps in your hotel?
Usually the booking process of hotel reservation include six steps. Begins with the inquiry in person, a phone call
or an E-mail. then the reservationist needs to check if the hotel any vacant rooms. And then make a reservation. sometimes
special requirement should be put down . the reservationist will maintain the record by making any changes . at last
summarize the daily reservations .
三How many types of guaranteed reservations are there in your hotel?
There are three types of guaranteed reservations, with a prepayment guaranteed reservation, advance deposit
guaranteed reservation and credit guaranteed reservation.
四 Do you enjoy your job?
Yes, I am surely satisfied with my present job . Because my working condition is good .Our hotel is big and there are a
lot of modern facilities. With hotel staff dressed in neat uniforms.
I work in the finance department. I am auditor. I am planning to attend some training to improve my professional skills.
I hope to get a promotion in order to provide the hotel with a better service.
五How many steps can the registration process be broken into? There are five steps of registration process.
1 Collection of guest information;
2 Creation of registration record;
3 Room type and rate assignment;

六Are you an optimistic person?
All my friends say I am an optimistic person.
I often keep smile.
I like helping others and make them happy.
I like singing. After work I always go to KTV with my friends.
All I can get is their smile and gratitude. And I think it is more valuable than anything else.
丂What's the main duty of housekeeping department staff?
Their duty is to make sure of the neatness and good order.
Laundry and valet service;

八Do you smoke? What's your opinion about smoking?
No, I don’t smoke. I think smoking is bad for the health.
It may cause a lot of diseases, such as cancer, heart disease and so on.
Smoking is dangerous sometimes; it may cause a big fire.
Smoking may pollute the air, it makes the air dirty.
So I don’t like smoking.
九What is commission?
Commission is a kind of charge that guest are supposed to pay when they reserve rooms on the internet. 10%-20% of it
should be given to the website. For example, the 艺龙。携程。
十What dose sleep out mean ?
It’s a term often used in the housekeeping department.
“Sleep out” means that the guest has a heady paid for the room rate.
But for some reason he didn’t stay at the guest’s room during the night. Instead, slept somewhere outside with his
luggage remaining in his room. In this case, the housekeeping attendant should double lock the room for safety.
十一What is the shoulder season? Which months can be regarded as low season?
To my knowledge the shoulder season is a term in hospitality industry(服务业). It falls between the peak and low season
and offers fares and rates between those of the other seasons.
There are five months can be regarded as low season in our hotel. They are March May June July November.
十二What is your hobby?
I have a lot of hobbies. Such as singing dancing watching TV working out…these hobbies adds colors to my everyday life
and makes me so special and unique.

Yes, I have a lot of hobbies, such as singing, dancing, watching TV, working out……
For example, through working out every morning, I am getting more and more healthy, which allows me to feel good at
daytime and to stay energetic during night shift. 是的，我有很多兴趣爱好，如唱歌，跳舞，看电视，工作......例如，

As far as I know. There are many ways to cook duck, however roasted duck is the most popular one. You should go to

十五how to select drinks while having your meal?
There is a basic principle of select drinks, which is “red to red, white to white” if the guest has beef for the main course
we recommend red wine, if they choose chicken, white wine would be better.
十六Please introduce main schools(菜系) of Chinese cooking?
There are eight main schools of Chinese cooking throughout the country.
They are called lu Xiang min Zhe Huai Su in Chinese. Among them I like chuan most because it is famous for
being hot and spicy. Gongbao chicken, fried with peanuts and pepper, is a typical one.
十丂what will influence the development of tourism?
A lot of factors will influence the development of tourism. For example, tourism is lead by the policy introduced by the
government and the development of economy. Especially, per capita in come directly decides whether the people are able to
travel.
十八what is IDD and DDD?
IDD is international direct distance. The charge is 8 RMB per minute and 10% service charge if the guest use IDD in his
room, he need dial 0 first and the country code area code and then the telephone number.
DDD is domestic direct distance. The charge is 70 cent per minute. And 10% service charge. If use DDD ,YOU NEED dial 9
first area code and the telephone number.
十九Are you an optimistic person?
Yes I am chipper and optimistic girl. When I face unhappy things, I always hold an optimistic attitude. I am so confident in
everything. When others are in trouble, I am ready to help them. I often keep smile. Because smile is a kind of language and
shows that I am an optimistic person.
二十how many types of rooms in your hotel?
There are one hundred and twenty-two rooms in our hotel. There are mainly five types of rooms. They are standard Triple
Room 25 RMB per night. Standard Twin Room 35 RMB per night. Luxury Triple Room 40 RMB per night. Luxury Twin
Room 50 RMB per night. Luxury Single Room 100 RMB per night. Obviously, I recommend the standard triple room to
those who want to save as much as possible.
二十一do you like travelling? Where do you prefer to go and tell the reason?
Yes of course. I like travelling very much. I prefer to travelling to Hong Kong. It’s a good place for shopping, there are the
well-known Disneyland and the Ocean park.
