College life
I have been to this college for five months.
When first day I came to University，I saw many trees here and I really feel that the school is
very good，but at the first sight of the dormitory，something disappointing come up to me! The
condition of the dormitory is really very poor with only one room, no lavatory. But it doesn’t
matter, I will get myself better.
And then I came to my dormitory 203.I considered that I would spend four years here and my
dorm mates are all there. Most of them came from Beijing and they were chatting with a happy
voice.
After I came here, I found out the college life is quite different to what I imaged. Teachers
don not like the teachers in high school， they are more like to help us study than tell use what to
study. The study in college is more difficult and more independence。 We have much more free
time than we have had in High school. In the free time, I would like to participate in school
activities. I have several good friends and roommates. We did not each other before we came here.
Now, we are part of each other's life. We study together, talk about our dream and share our life
together.
I love my college life.

Sports
All over the world people enjoy sports. Sports help to keep people healthy and happy, and to
live longer.
Sports change with the seasons. People play different games in winter and summer.
Swimming is fun in warm weather,but skating is good in winter。
Some sports are so interesting that people everywhere go in for them. Football， for example， has
spread all over the world. Swimming is popular in all countries near the sea or in those with many
rivers. Some sports or games go back thousands of years, like running or jumping. Chinese
wushu，for example，has a very long history. But basketball and volleyball are rather new. People
are inventing new sports or games all the time. Water skiing is one of the newest in the family of
sports.
People from different countries may not be able to understand each other，but after a game
together they often become good friends. Sports help to train a person's character. One learns to
fight hard but fight fair, to win without pride and to lose with grace.


Friends
Friends are important. It has often been said that,” no man can live like an
island”. As our population increases in size, this is becoming increasingly true. A
person will have trouble coping with society without friends.
Friends should not be confused(困惑的) with acquaintances. Acquaintances are
people whom you may see often. But, you could never share weal(幸福) and woe(悲
哀) with an acquaintance. Acquaintance are usually with you for what they can get.
Maybe, they like to be with you because you are popular. People usually have few
friends and many acquaintances.
