There is seldom anything delightful in this mortal life,
I must wear chrysanthemums on my head on the way home.
但将酩酊酬佳节，不用登临恨落晖。
It's best during this festival to drink up and get drunk,
No need to scale the heights and lament the setting of the sun.
古往今来只如此，牛山何必独霑衣。(霑 同：沾)

泊秦淮
杜牧

烟笼寒水月笼沙，夜泊秦淮近酒家。
The chilly water is shrouded in mist and the sand bathed in moonlight,
As I moor at night on the Qinhuai River near taverns.
商女不知亡国恨，隔江犹唱后庭花。
The singsong girls are ignorant of the tragedy of a lost regime,
They are still singing the Backyard Flowers beyond the river!

山行

远上寒山石径斜，白云生处有人家。
A flag-stone(石板) path winds up into the chilly hills,
Where houses are just discernible amid the thick white cloud.
停车坐爱枫林晚，霜叶红于二月花。
I stop my carriage for I love the maple trees in the twilight,
The leaves after early frost are as crimson as spring flowers.


卖炭翁
唐代：白居易

卖炭翁，伐薪烧炭南山中。
The old man who sells charcoal
Cuts wood and fires his wares on the South Hill,

满面尘灰烟火色，两鬓苍苍十指黑。
His face streaked with dust and ashes, grimed(灰尘等)弄脏 with smoke,
His temples grizzled（灰白头发；有灰色光斑的色调）, his ten fingers blackened.

卖炭得钱何所营？身上衣裳口中食。
The little money he makes is hardly enough
For clothing for his back, food for his belly;

可怜身上衣正单，心忧炭贱愿天寒。
But though his coat is thin he hopes for winter--
Cold weather wil keep up the price of fuel.

夜来城外一尺雪，晓驾炭车辗冰辙。
At night a foot of snow falls outside the city,
At dawn his charcoal cart crushes ruts in the ice;

牛困人饥日已高，市南门外泥中歇。
By the time the sun is high,
The ox is tired out and the old man hungry,
They rest in the slush outside the south gate of the market.

翩翩两骑来是谁？黄衣使者白衫儿。
Then up canter【(马)慢跑；骑马慢跑 】two riders; who can they be?
Palace heralds in yellow jackets and white shirts;

手把文书口称敕，回车叱牛牵向北。
They wave a decree, shout that these are imeprial orders;
Then turn the cart, hoot at the ox and drag it north.

一车炭，千余斤，宫使驱将惜不得。

The strip of red gauze (网；薄纱) and the ten feet of silk

酬乐天扬州初逢席上见赠

巴山楚水凄凉地，二十三年弃置身。

登高

风急天高猿啸哀，渚清沙白鸟飞回。
Wind blusters high in the sky and monkeys wail;
Clear the islet with white sand where birds are wheeling;

无边落木萧萧下，不尽长江滚滚来。

望庐山瀑布
