Dear Daniel,
Thank you for your last letter. Now let me tell you my plan for the coming summer holidays.
During the holidays, (of course I will try to relax first. It’s wonderful to enjoy such a long

写作指导：
1、注意三要素：格式、时态和人称。因日记通 常是记载当天发生的事情，所以多数用过去
时或现在完成时，当然也可灵活运用其他时态，尤其是日记结 尾所发表的感想或评论等，要
转换时态；通常用第一人称。
2、标题可有可无，具体视情况而定。
3、一般按时间发展先后顺序写，因此常用的时间短语有：at first, then, next, after that, later,
soon, at last, etc.（须记忆并运用）
4、要尽可能适当发挥，否则就像记流水帐一样乏味。
5、最后应有适当的感情抒发以表达自己的思想和愿望等。

, 2009 Saturday
Today, about 30 students from Japan visited our school. We gathered at the school gate at 9
o’clock to give them a warm welcome. At first we had a get-together in the lecture hall in our
school. (Our principal told them a lot about our school and after that, we both sang a few songs
and exchanged our gifts.) Next, we showed them around our campus at 11am (and guided them to
visit our teaching building, swimming pool and gymnasium as well). We had a buffet lunch later at
12 o’clock at the school canteen. From 15pm to 16pm, we had a basketball match in the basketball
court and our scores were 50-48, we won them. At last, we had a farewell party on the playground
and they left school after 17pm.
Today was a busy day, but we really enjoyed ourselves and I hope they will have a safe
journey home.
