Byronic Hero in Movie-- Loki Laufeyson
(For Plots in Movie and Marvel Comics are different, the Loki I described in this
essay refers to Loki in movie, with no relationship with comic plots)

The prototype of Loki Laufeyson in Marvel Movie is Baal rocky in Norse
mythology. Loki appears in movie Thor, The Avengers and Thor 2. He is the son of
Laufey, the ruler of the Frost Giants of Jotunheim, but shortly after his birth, he was
abandoned and left to die. Found by the Asgardian king Odin, Loki was raised by
Odin and his wife Frigga as an Asgardian prince, along with their biological son Thor.

The Byronic hero is a variant of the Romantic hero as a type of character, named
after the English Romantic poet Lord Byron. Although there are a range of traits and
characteristics that exemplify the type, both Byron's own personas as well as
characters from his writings are considered to provide defining features. With the
development of literature writing, the generalized definition of Byronic hero is not
only the character in Byron's works, also those characters who have the feature of
being traitorous and isolated. In general, Loki is arrogant and stubborn. With
rebellious character, he is unsatisfied with reality and calling for fight. While at the
same time, he can never find the right way, and it reflects his melancholy, loneliness,
pessimism and out of crowd. We can obviously see characteristics of individualism
and strong pessimism and despair. As the result, Loki is a typical character of Byronic
hero.

specificlized or reflected through the revolt to the exsiting authority and tyranny.
