本课选取的是译林出版社出版的小学英语分级绘本中三年级第
二季中的 一个小故事《
Cat
and
mouse
》
,让学生能在趣味阅读 的过程
中获得一定的语言知识,实现故事的阅读。这个故事主要介绍了中国
民间关于十二生肖中 老鼠排位第一的由来,学生既能了解中国的传统
文化,又能获得有关的英语知识。在故事的学习后,学生 们会对诚实
的理解更加深刻。
教学对象为四年级第一学期的学生。
他们接触 英语已

年的时间,
对于一般本文的阅读,难度稍大,但是本篇故事中有大量的对话, 旁
白的语句简短,降低了学生大篇幅阅读的难度。绘本阅读的一大优势
是:学生可以借助图片理 解文本的大致意思。因此,在教学过程中,
教师可以适当放手,在学生能力范围之内,让学生自己阅读, 理解故
事的内容;四年级的学生有一定的思考能力,适当的提示下,让学生
自己体会故事里蕴含 的道理。
