在表示半

的数量时
,
一般用
half a...
或
half an...
。例如：
half a year(

。在表示一个数量单位时
,
不定冠词在
half
之前
,half
与单位之间加连字

。但在美国英语中，无论是表示数量还是单位都不加连字符。例如：

half-apple

。

在表示一个半小时时可以说：
one and a half hours
或
one/an hour and a half
；
二个半小时可以说：
two and a half hours
或

two hours and a half
。注意上述两组表示名词复数
