Principle of operation































I.

The basic operation principle of the solar PV system:

Model DC.

Exposing
the
solar
module
to
sunlight
directly
，
the
solar
module
can
transform the sunlight to electricity and store it through charge

controller in the battery. The electricity then can be supplied to 12V power
supply point through controller.


Under general circumstances, the 10W
.20W.30W
.40W.50W solar PV system
charged for
5

6
hours
in
the
daytime,
it
can
be
used
3
nights
and
4
～
5
hours per night.

Before opening, check to see if the box is intact.

opening,
find
the
packing
list
firstly,
then
check
the
controller,
fittings and attachments according to the list.

Familiar yourself with various functions of the controller and

equipment according to diagrams in the user manual.

Pay attention to the change of the battery
，
the mark “
＋
” and “
－
”
，

the
red cable is for “
＋
” and the black is for “
－
”
，
avoiding the reverse polarity.

Charging: exposed the cell panel directly to sunlight
outdoors, insert the
three-pin plug in the charging socket; if the charge indicator is on, it means
the
charging
process
is working.
The cell
panel
should
be
clean
so
as
to
acquire optima light collection.

When plug in or out any equipment, be sure the power is off.
Strictly
avoid
any
kinds
of
short.
Once
the
short
occur,
the
controller
of
output will be self- closing.

The controller, solar module and battery should be matched
reasonably.

When the voltmeter indicates less than 11.5V
, it means the battery is in the
state
of
low
voltage,
immediately
turn
it
off
and
stop
use
it.
When
the
charging
is
finished
and
the
voltage
reaches
12.8V
it
will
operate
automatically.

Repairs

procedures
not
to
be
attempted
by
non-electricians
and
electricians unfamiliar with PV systems.

If the supply is not in use, it should be charged once a month, otherwise
the battery may be damaged resulting from over-discharge. If the supply is
used for the first time, charge it under strong sunlight for two days so that its
life can be prolonged.

The
solar

may
shut
down
and refuse
to work
in
irregular
status,
the main
reason
is
following:

solar
PV
module can’t
generat
e
normally, check if the solar PV module is operating regularly.

PV system refuse to work, please check the appliance, connection cable,

whether short circuit or not and whether polarity is reversed. Eliminate

the breakdown and then the solar PV system will operate regularly.

breakdown
and
after
repair
of
special
electricians

according to the controller specification the contro
ller still can’t operate

regularly and the controller is confirmed broken, just change a new one.



Please
inform
the
supplier
for
change
new
controller
during
the



warranty
period.
If
the warranty
period
is
expired
you
may
buy
a
new
one.

When above procedures are finished
，
plug the cable for solar PV module
in
the
socket
of
solar
PV
module
on
the
controller
box
respectively
according to the positive and negative polarity. Red cable is positive (+)
and
black
is
negative
(
—
),
reverse
polarity
is
not
permitted.
Thus,
the
solar PV module begins to charge.

In
the
normal
circumstance,
the
main
loads
of
20W
，
30W
solar
PV
system is lamp, radio, recorder, mini household appliance and charge the
mobile phone.; The main loads of 50W solar PV system is DC12” T
V
,
lamp,
radio,
recorder,
mini
household
appliance
etc.
Using
other
appliance is not permitted.

Please check if the solar PV system and appliance is operating regularly
after installation. Check the operating status of the controller according
to the controller specification.

Use
a
shunt
to
measure
the
current
from
the
array
under
charging
conditions
to
verify
the
array
charging
current.
This
measurement
should be done under clear sky condition.

Make
system-wide
voltage
drop
measurements
in
the
sub- circuits
to
verify
that
connections
are
within
the
maximum
allowable
voltage
drop.
