Needs
Analysis of Second Foreign Language about
Junior Students of English Major


Background:


I
am
a
junior
student
of
English
Major,
some
students
like
me
should face a question that leaning second foreign language. However
most
of
students
have
some
puzzled
problems
include
leaning
motivation,
leaning
purpose
and
leaning
need.
For
better
studying
and grasping second foreign language I make the needs analysis face
junior students of English major in the Mianyang Normal University.



Purpose:



Judging
these
courses
we
have
are
filled
with
satisfy
to
students.
The change about problem that junior students of English major to
hope. Knowing the distance students

abilities they have and they to
hope. Collecting information what they are facing now.



Target population:



About
100
students
of
English
major
in
Mianyang
Normal
University.
Method:



Questionnaire

interview, observation.


Procedures:




1:

Design the questionnaires.



2:

Interview a few students of
English major about five to ten.
They
will
answer
many
questions
I
presented.
Then
collect
information and analysis.




3:

Record
students
and
teacher

s
action
in
the
second
foreign
language. Especially observe students

action.


Summary:



We can get some conclusions by three methods. Like this: 1, this
subject of second foreign language has a little of interests to a lager
major of students of English major. Many students regard the second
foreign language as a tool of graduate admission examination. By the
way,
the
positive
effect
is
unclearly
come
from
the
second
foreign
language. 2, it can

t meet the need of different level students due to
teaching method is only. 3, the learning environment is not very well
result
in
students
is
not
interested
in
second
language.
So
students
and
teacher
should
make
a
good
studying
environment.
4,
only
Japanese
we
can
study
in
our
school
lead
to
little
of
interests
to
second foreign language.
