2. Have students read the passage and know about burns and the first aid
treatments for burns.

Analysis of students’
present studying
About
60
students
are
in
my
class,
whose
English
is
mostly
poor.
Equally
poor is their habits of learning English, say, over 90% of the students
are tired of English, and never read it, let alone listen and write,
leading to low efficience and low grades.
Worse
ever,
A
majority
of
the
students
lack
English
basic
words,therefore , it is very challenging for them to read and write.
In this case , I take actions as follows: them to from a good
habit
of
learning
English.

in
English.

to

and

Step 1. Greetings
Greet students as usual .

of
this
period
and
make
sure
all
students
are
clear
what they are going to learn.
Step 3 . Lead-in
Show some pictures about accidents on the screen , asking students what
they can think of when looking at them?(any answer is ok)
Step torming
Ask students: What words
can you think
of when you talk about accidents?
After they give some answers, show the following on the screen:
sprained ankle drown a broken arm a snake bite
a bloody nose cut Burn choke
Step tation
Ask students what they will do when they meet with a situation where
someone is ill or injured suddenly.(any answer is ok)

,the
teacher
ask
:What
is
first
aid?
Let students fill in the blanks.

common
accidents
pictures
and
ways
to
treat
them

choose the best way to see how much they know about first aid.
