隋统一南北朝后，将晋兴县
改为宣化

南宁为宣化县治所，

唐朝，宣化县析出宣化、晋

。南宁在唐

时已成为省级政府所在地。
宋朝统一全国后，邕州隶属
广南西路
，南宁仍为邕州和宣化

the

name
to

to

southern border in peace

hence the name
“
Nanning
”
.
In the Ming dynasty,
Nanning road was changed to Nanning
mansion, now Nanning is the residence.
In Qing dynasty, Guangxi
was changed to Guangxi province,
and
the capital was located in Guilin.
In 1911, Nanning declared independence
from Qing.
