many

problems

of

environmental

protection

in

recent

years. One of the most serious problems is the serious pollution of air, water and soil. the polluted

air does great harm to people’s health. The polluted water ca

uses diseases and death. What is more,

vegetation had been greatly reduced with the rapid growth of modern cities.

To

protect

the

environment,

governments

of

many

countries

have

done

a

lot.

Legislative

steps

have been introduced to control air pollution, to protect the forest and sea resources and to stop

any environmental pollution. Therefore, governments are playing the most important role in the

environmental protection today.

In my opinion, to protect environment, the government must take even more concrete measures.

First,

it

should

let

people

fully

realize

the

importance

of

environmental

protection

through

education. Second, much more efforts should be made to put the population planning policy into

practice,

because

more

people

means

more

people

means

more

pollution.

Finally,

those

who

destroy the environment intentionally should be severely punished. We should let them know that

destroying environment means destroying mankind themselves.

betterment

has

always

been

important

to

government

officials,

scientific researchers and common citizens alike. Although this issue has long been discussed and

examined, it would not be true to say that unanimous agreement has been my belief,

the more beneficial steps in improving the overall environment of our city are as follows. First and

foremost, the overall planners have to come up with a comprehensive development scheme so that

all

the

later

projects

can

be

fitted

into

it

under

coherent

consideration.

In

the

second

place,

the

ratio of green lands has to be largely increased to raise the quality of air and water. Last but not

least,

common

citizens

should

join

in

the

efforts

to

protect

our

environment

and

battle

all

the

behaviors

to

pollute

our

homeland.

In

an

era

when

economy

develops

at

such

a

high

speed,

environmental problem is connected with and vital to every citizen in the city. We can never wish

to realize our dream of a cleaner and more beautiful environment until all of us take actions to

build, protect and take care of it.

China has warned rich nations not to

shirk

their responsibility on climate change.

It is urging them to provide developing countries with the funds they need to

tackle

the issue.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry says developed nations are acting

insincerely

in

their

apparent

commitment to helping poor countries.

Duan Jielong, Dept. Director-General of Chinese Foreign Ministry, said,

think there has at least been a big gap in the sincerity of developed countries in

terms of financing at the moment. They haven't done enough to shoulder their

due responsibilities.

The department director-general stresses rich countries bear most of the

responsibility for creating existing pollution. Therefore the idea that developing

nations have to make cuts is both unrealistic and goes against a

consensus

already reached.

Duan said,

responsibility of cutting emissions is not consistent with the international

consensus, nor will it be

conducive

to reaching a new agreement by the

international community in fighting climate change in the future.

The past few days of the UN Climate Change Conference have exposed deep

differences on emissions cuts, and funding needed to address the problem.

The US has pledged to contribute to a rich-country fund which aims to help poor

nations tackle the issue. But the US special envoy for climate change says China

will not be a

recipient

of the fund as it has a booming economy and large foreign

exchange reserves.

China insists the offer of funds be an

imperative

duty of developed nations. It

hopes the relevant parties will make the effort to achieve results acceptable to

all sides.

If

we

want

to

leave

a

better

life

and

have

a

bright

future,we

must

do

our

best

to

protect

the

environment:

First of all, we will have to control the growth of the population. The more people that are brought

into the world, the more houses and food are needed. As a result of that, people have no choice but

to cut down trees to make room for buildings and farming.

Secondly, some measures are taken to control and stop pollution from now on. For instance, close

down some factories that produce serious pollution, make the water clean before it goes into the

rivers, lakes and seas.

But

the

most

important

thing

is

to

make

people

realize

the

importance

of

protecting

the

environment, and then everybody can join in the campaign to fight against pollution.

Improve our environment

Good environment can make people feel happy. To improve the environment means to

qualify our life . What should we do to improve our environment ?

We should plant more trees . And we should prevent those factories from pouring waste water into

rivers , lakes and fields . Whenever we see litter on the ground , we should pick it up and throw it

into a dustbin . Don’t spit in public places . Don’t draw on public walls . It’s our duty to keep our

earth clean and tidy .

The environment is more and more important for us especially the environment of our school.

These days the school's

environment is worse and worse. You can see some students throw their

trash everywhere. For our students we stay at school for almost 7-8 hours everyday. Why some of

the students don't concern about the environment around them? First I suggest them to learn more

about the knowledge of the environment. Second I hope they can understand the feelings of other

students. If everybody can think more about others, the world can be more clear. So let's do it from

ourselves.

problems

are

becoming

more

and

more

serious

all

over

the

world.

With

the

development of industry and agriculture, cars make great noises and give off poisonous gas. Trees

on

the

hills

have

been

cut

down,and

waste

water

is

being

poured

continuously

into

rivers.

Furthermore,wherever we go today, we can find rubbish carelessly disposed. The whole ecological

balance of the earth is changing. Massive destruction of environment has brought about negative

effects and even poses a great threat to man's existence.

We must face the situation that exists and take actions to solve our environmental problems. For

instance, new laws must be passed to place strict control over industrial pollution, the public must

receive the education about the

hazard

of pollution and so on. We hope that all these measures will

be effective and bring back a healthful environment.
