:The
basic mandates of Security Council
Introduction of Security Council
The United Nations Security Council is
one of the six main bodies of the Charter
of
the
United
Nations.
Its
organizational
form
so
that
it
can
continue
to
work,
and
every
member
of
the
Security
Council
must
always
have
a
representative
in
the
United
Nations Headquarters. Is the only United Nations
agency that has the right to
take
military action.
Security
Council was established on January 13, 1946. On
January 17, 1946 in
London Westminster
chapel
building held
the
first
meeting. Since the first
meeting,
the Security
Council will be its permanent address in New York
City, United Nations
Headquarters. The
Security Council has also traveled to many cities
to meet in 1972
in Addisababa,
Ethiopia, 1990 in Panama, Panama city and Geneva,
Switzerland held
a meeting.
According
to
the
Charter
of
the
United
Nations,
the
Security
Council
has
the
primary responsibility for maintaining
international peace and security. The Security
Council has 15 members, each of which
has a right to vote. All the members of the
Council
have
the
obligation
to
fulfill
the
Security
Council's
decision.
The
Security
Council also
recommended that the general assembly to appoint
the Secretary General
and to accept the
new member states to join the United nations. The
Security Council
also and the general
assembly to elect the judges of the International
Court of justice.
The basic mandates of
Security Council
The
main
task
of
the
Security
Council
is
to
maintain
international
peace
and
Security
Council
has
received
a
threat
to
the
peace
of
the
complaints,

the United Nations Security Council, the first

try to reach an agreement by peaceful means. The

observers or peacekeeping troops, help to reduce

sanctions,

arms
embargo,
financial
penalties
and
restrictions

action.
