On e possible version: Good afternoon, everyone! The topic of my

eech today is “Do trust us—a generation born in the 90s”. Living in

an environment full of fier cer petition, we, a genera tion born in the

90s, are faced with more problems in entering higher schools and getting

employed. Under these circumstances, we are devel oping our ecial

manners and values, which has raised people’s concern. They

worry we

care to o much about ourselves and are unwillin g to cooper ate with

Good Listener”. Good listening can always show reect, promote

understanding, and improve interpersonal relationship. Many people

suggest that parents should listen more to their children, so they will

understand them better, and find it easy to narrow the generation gap;

teachers should listen more to their students, then they can meet their

needs better, and place themselves in a good relationship with their

students; students should listen more to their classmates, thus they

will help and learn from each other, and a friends hip is likely to be

formed. What I want to stress is that each of us should listen to others.

you are interested by a supportive silence or a knowing smile; be open-

When I saw the titile of this essay I am supposed to be writing

about, all I felt were its broadness and abstractness. Though I am a

Chinese myself, it had always seemed plicated to tell how much exactly

my nationality meant to me until that unforgettable experience in the
