My hometown

My home town is a beautiful place. It stands

beside a wide river and is rich in fish and rice.

But in the old days it was a poor and backward

little town. Many people had no work. They lived a

hard life.

In 1949 my hometown was liberated. Since then

great changes have taken place there. The streets have

been widened. Factories, schools, hospitals, cinemas

and theatres have sprung up one after another. The

life of the people is greatly improved.

I love my hometown. All the more I love its

people. They are working hard so as to make it still

richer and more beautiful.

My Hometown

My hometown is beautiful place It stands near a

wide river at the foot of low green hills

It has

many tall buildings and wide streets

There are trees

and flowers everywhere

But it has not always been like that

。

it was a sad dirty little town

and merchants lived in the few good houses

我的家乡

我的家乡是个美丽的地方。它座落在一座不高的绿色山

脚下，一条宽阔的河流边。有许多 高耸的大楼和宽阔的街道。

树木和花草随处可见。

但是它并不是一直如此。在旧社会，它是一个凄凉、 肮

脏的小镇。地主和商人住在几栋漂亮的房子里。劳动人民只能

住在破旧、黑暗、不卫生的房子里或是狭窄、泥泞街道旁的茅

屋里。几乎所有人都贫困， 许多人没有工作。

解放后 一切都改变了。在共产党的领导下，人民告别了

泥泞和肮脏。他们建起了学校、剧院、商 店和公寓，还有大礼

堂和医院。沿河建起了办公大楼、宾馆和公园。许多工厂迅速

涌现。河上汽船、小船日夜穿梭，他们将我们的工业产品运往

全国各地 。

我热爱我的家乡，我热 爱家乡的人民。他们身上也发生

了变化。他们健康、幸福，正在鼓足干劲建设社会主义。

There is a river in my hometown. In the summer

we often play in the river , because the water is cool,

the bottom of the stones can be seen very clearly, but

now......

The riever is ugly and dirty, no nobody down the

river to play, but in the summer it will rain, the

water will rise, and then the water is clean, now we

are in the evening under the river to wash clothes and

play.

The river in my hometown can finally see the

light!

我的家乡有一条河。在夏天我们经常下河去玩，因为河

水很凉很清，水底的石头都能很清 楚的看见，可是现在

河水 又丑又脏，现在都没有人下河去玩了，还好到了夏

My hometown is very big. I am going to show you

around my hometown. First, here is my house. I live in

a small house, we have a garden. My mother grows

vegetables and flowers in the garden. Outside the

garden the garden is a bus stop. It takes about twenty

minutes to get to the nearest town. There are lots of

buildings there. There is a shopping mall, a youth

center and a cinema. There is also a park near the

center of the town. My favorite place is the youth

center. I often go there with my friends after school.

There are lots of things to do there and I am always

busy. I like going into town on my bicycle. The town

is near the sea. I sometimes go swimming in summer

when it’s warm and sunny. Th

ere is not much pollution

in the town because cars cannot go into the center of

the town. I have lots of friends here: I think it’s a

wonderful place to live in. I hope you can come and

visit it soon.

My home is in a town. It lies in the east of

Zhejiang near the East SeA

It has a population of

fifty thousand. Our town is in the south of our

Ease Sea is to the east of the town. To the

south is flat land. Mountains are on the west. And a

river runs from north to south in the west of my town.
