a dream is to a man what wings are to a bird. a man with a
dream is like a warrior armed with ambition and courage,who
dares to step into an journey of adventure. dream shows one’s
hope or with in deep heart. in fact, dream stands for the aim of
the life.

does everyone know exactly what he want to get the life? does
everyone know clearly which kind of person he want to be? the
fact is many of us have not yet find the dream that belongs to
us. without the dream, we do things just for following the
time’s p
ace. we do what we are expected to do----study, take
exam and get diploma, then find a job and so on……


but, my dear friend, just ask yourself : is that the life you’d like
to lead? there is a very famous passage in the novel “ how the
steel was tempered”,
which we have learned from the mid-
school text book, that is ,the most precious thing for a person
is life. life belongs to person and just comes once. a person’s
life should be passed like this : when he looks back on past
time, he would not feel regretted because of having wasted his
best years, and also would not feel ashamed because of idling
about. if we have no dream, we have no our own aims. in this
condition, who we are studying for? what we are getting high
score for? several years ago, i have even thought about these
questions. at that time, i had the wrong opinion

that “because my mother brings me up, because i exist in the
society, i just have to go on--- go on doing things which the
jungle law requires”. but as i grow up gradually, i get to kn
ow
that there are great differences between existence and life. our
motherland has developed greatly so that the people in china
can dress warmly and ear our fill. as a chinese, what we
pursue should not be to exist with enough food and warm
clothes anymore----we need to lead a happy life. recently i saw
an interesting formula on a book :happiness
=health+pursue+love (health plus pursue plus love come up to
the happiness)that is to say, having a dream is a necessary
condition for happiness.

so, now you know how important the dream to humans.

，
boys and girls!


i’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech! to
begin with ,i want to pop a question .does everybody dream a
good dream last night? actually ,today i want to talk about
dream with you. of course, what i want to talk is not a dream
you have last night,but a dream about life.

every one has dreams about life, different dreams at different
life stage,and we need dreams to support us. dreams are like
the stars we never reach in the sky,but like most mariners,we
can chart our course by them. with the dream,we have a
direction,with a direction, we were no longer the
dream, there is hope,with hope, we have the strength to fight.

life is tough,and there are always ups and downs, maybe we
fail in the way to our aims,and we may feel
depressed ,whenever at this time, the dream in our heart can
always confort us, encourage us ,and support us to move
ahead .

so bear in mind your dream and never give up your dream
easily. look into the great people’s experiences, you may find
the truth that good dream makes a good one, because there is
nothing like a dream to create the future and build up our
body .

finally ,i would suggest. have a dream in mind and keep
pursuing on it. try to use your time sensibly, do what you
should do to make your dream come ture. although it is a hard
job to get to the top of your dreaming mountain, but as the
saying says, “mountain’s high, but man makes the peak”. as
long as we keep, we will finally fullfill it .

how far you go in life depends on your being tender with the
young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the
striving and tolerate of the weak and the strong. because
someday in life you will have been all of this.

come true. the ultimate magic is not wishing, but doing.

as wishes may inspire dreams, so dreams may inspire wishes.

how to get happiness
如何获得快乐

there is no doubt that happiness is the most precious thing in
the world. without it, life will be empty and meaningless. if you
wish to know how to get happiness, you must pay attention to
the following two points.

first, health is the secret of happiness (the key to happiness).
only a strong man can enjoy the pleasure of life.

secondly, happiness consists in contentment. a man who is
dissatisfied with his present condition is always in distress.


无疑的快乐是世界上最宝贵的东西。没有它，人生将是空虚的而且
毫无意义的。如果 你希望知道如何获得快乐，你须注意下面两点。


健康是快乐的要诀。唯有身体强壮的人才能享受人生的乐趣。


快乐在于知足。一个不满于现状的人终是处在痛苦之中。

an english proverb says that time is money. i consider it (this)
wrong. why? because we all know that we can earn money be
work but can not in any way get back time (in anyway). for this
reason, we may (can) say that time is more valuable than
money. many people do not know the value of time. it (this) is
indeed a great pity. we must bear (keep) in mind that wasting
time is equal to wasting your life.


英国有句谚语说，时 间就是金钱。我认为这是不对的。为什么？因
为我们大家都知道我们能够用工作赚钱，但无论如何却无法 把时间
争取回来。基于此种理由，我们可以说时间比钱钱更宝贵。许多人
不知爱惜时光。这确实 是可惜的。我们必须记住浪费时间等于浪费
生命。


ladies and gentlemen, good morning! i’m very glad to stand
here and give you a short speech.


man’s life is a process of growing up, actually i’m standing
here is a growth. if a person’s life must constituted by various
choices, then i grow up along with these choices. once i hope i
can study in a college in future, however that’s passed, as you
know i come here, now i wonder what the future holds for me.

when i come to this school, i told to myself: this my near
future, all starts here.
